The Course
Blessed with many fine holes, the course is a classic test. The dipping and arcing 2nd has all Luffenham’s challenges in one cracking hole, as does the brilliant 7th with its carry over gorse and its fiendishly sloped green.
Perhaps though, the last four earn more plaudits than any other stretch of the course. Two strong fours and a booming par-5 finish sandwich The Heath’s signature hole which thrives on its place in the homeward journey. The devilish par-3 17th, a downhill beauty over a tangle of mounds and studded with wicked bunkers, can define a round.
The understated and atmospheric clubhouse is a friendly sanctuary for all, and serves an excellent choice of food, real ales and wine. At Luffenham, the traditions of the game are highly respected, and so everyone that samples her delights is assured of the finest hospitality.
